Hurrican heat sytem

I have not been able to get diesel to come to the hurrican system. It runs fine when you stick hose into diesel bucket. Sucks it up fine. Heater sounds good also. I bypassed filter with a in line clear one to see it work. It must be air locked from the diesel tank. Any ideas. I may buy a pump and see if I can get diesel to come out.

Welcome to the forum, Gary.

Coaqch serial number is on the chart inside a cabinet door, such as the bathroom cabinet. It also lists the serial numbers of all of the appliances, etc.
How full is the coach's fuel tank? By design, the Hurricane system and/or generator will NOT drain the last 1/4 tank of fuel (so that you can still drive to the gas station)!

Possibly the fuel lines are cracked and will need to be replaced.

Sounds like either a plugged fuel filter or an air leak in the fuel line.

Gary, we bought our 03 Allure in June and had the same problem with our Gen. I replaced the fuel lines and the gen started right up. Also replaced the fuel filter. John 03 Allure 30951

How much fuel is in your tank? As it's been stated earlier, if it's below 1/4 you will have to put fuel in the tank. The pick-up is sucking air. John 03 Allure 30951

Gary, I had to replace both my Hurrican Diesel Supply & Return lines from tank several years ago. I contacted Gates Rubber Corp. with model of hose that CC used and advised of air leaks in there hose.
There reply was "well that wasn't one of better products", no financial help from Gates.
I replaced with AeroQuip Hose very expensive but will be there when I'm ashes.

Thanks, Mike 03 allure 1st Ave. #30898

X's 2. Preventative on my part. To both generator and Hydro Hot. I went with the new Gates USLD rated line, has a blue stripe. I did not have any problem with Gates on needing to replace the lines, as they were fine for non ULSD... Just one of the many problems, and costs, pushed off onto diesel owners with the very poor researched, and transitioned change to ULSD...
Most of the manufacturers of new fuel lines, will not have products now good to go for the long term with ULSD.

Best of luck on your determination of your actual problem, Smitty
