Adding a Bluetooth receiver

I've gotten hooked on listening to Pandora radio in our car where my smartphone transmitts a Bluetooth signal that the car's Bluetooth audio system picks up and plays.
I'd really like to have that in my 2004 Allure with the Pioneer radio/back-up camera and the Bose sound system. Has anyone tried connecting a Bluetooth receiver to either the Pioneer system or the Bose system? Such receivers are available and they plug in to the radio or amplifier with a 3.5 mm RCA male plug.

Works great, been listening to Pandora all night.
My coach had a car stereo mounted in the bedroom with car speakers mounted in the ceiling. The stereo was so old that it didn't have any aux inputs (plus I didn't really like the looks of it), so I ripped out am using one of these instead

Easy to hook up and sounds good. The connection between the Bluetooth and the amp is RCA stereo cables. For your setup, I would just hook it up directly to the Bose using the RCA cables. Good luck.

George, it comes with a 110V ac power supply, but I plan on not using that and wiring it to the coach 12V dc system with one of these

I do quite a bit of dry camping and don't want to have to run the 2500w inverter for such small loads.

Sorry I confused your Logitech BT receiver with the Belkin unit someone else mentioned. I don't quite understand the voltage conversion device that you refer to below. Looks like it is a DC to DC converter and stabilizer. I thought you were using a DC to AC converter to get your unit off AC.
Anyway, I am now focused on trying to input a BT receiver signal to the Pioneer radio/CD/multi CD/XM radio/backup camera unit in my coach. However there are no RCA 3.5 mm female jacks on it. Has anyone figured out how to input an AUX signal to it? I do see a bunch of coiled up red and white RCA jacks with extra wiring, but I don't yet know if they come to or come out of the Pioneer unit.

Hi George, the Bluetooth receiver runs on 5vDC. Logitech supplies a power supply that takes 120vAC and converts it to 5vDC. I am not using the power supply that came with this unit. I am using the converter you saw in my link to use the coach 12vDC, which is available all over the coach (lights, etc), and converting it the to 5vDC that the Bluetooth receiver needs. Hope that make sense.
If your Pioneer is hooked up like mine, there are RCA cables coming from the output of the Pioneer to the input of the Bose. You probably have another open input on the Bose (Tape, AUX, etc). I would just use one of those for the Bluetooth receiver.

OK, I see what you are doing.

The Pioneer unit I'm talking about is in the dash and does not play through the Bose speakers. The unit in the A/V cabinet above the passenger seat does that.

As you have already discovered, your Pioneer head unit does not have any of the conventional audio input jacks. Several years ago I was attempting to add a different aux audio device to my identical-to-yours Pioneer unit. I talked to a Pioneer rep, and he said I needed a proprietary Pioneer cable in order to attach another device. I don't recall the cost, but I considered it prohibitive at the time and went another route.

Thanks for that info, Myron. I'll check with Pioneer and see what they want for the cable.
I wonder if it would be possible to install a small amplifier fed by a Bluetooth receiver and splice the amplifier speaker wires into the Pioneer speaker wires - provided only one source is on at once?
