greetings from "the rally"

Yahoo Message Number: 6225
Well, we have made it through our first "homecoming" rally here in Eugene. Before I put down the Motosat dish, and wait for the "gentlemen, start your engines" where 300 coaches make a mad dash for the exit, a quick note. We have met many great folks, made some new friends, including Dick and Judi May, who frequent this board, and are heading for the coast with Lee and Sandy Test, more new friends. We will then start the trip back to Mich. The CC folks were great, the service guys were great, and the seminars were informative. Next year, we will not be refered to as "newbies" having this rally under our belts. We learned real fast what one experienced rally goer meant when she told us that as soon as we were parked, for the wife to "go find an open electric recepticle and stick your finger in it until you plug in your cord." Some went for the week with no power, as there were not enough recepticles available. We found out we could live for a week on 50 gallons of water, although a long shower will be nice. Well, engines are starting, down goes the dish.
