Drawer slide-grey things

Odd title I guess , but I don't know the name of the little grey pieces that provide a tension to not let the drawers go loose. I got some retainers from the supplier which were free and that is great! Here are a few hints about the installation as they provide no instruction. It is easiest if you pull out the drawer completely and remove the rails attached to the cabinet- not the drawer. Mine only had 2 screws holding the sides , so I added a third screw on each side, when I re-installed. The grey retainer sits at the back and so when you pull it out you can see where it goes. There is a specific slot that the front end of the grey part goes into. In order to work properly the grey parts must be a tight fit between the side of the drawer and rail that attaches to the fixed cabinet. There are about 4 tabs in the side rail and the screws are through this tab. If you bend the tabs out , when re-installing the drawer will push the fixed and moveable rail together. This is critical because , if the rails are not tight to each other the grey retainer may not catch perfectly every time, causing wear on the grey part by the side rail. On my coach , when I pulled 2 drawers almost all the way out the cabinet would fall free from the fixed rail. By bending the tabs , this problem is now resolved . The purpose of the tabs being bendable is that this makes up for the cabinet maker from having to be exactly correct when building the cabinet. On my coach , the top drawer which hold the knives , forks etc , had a moveable drawer - within - drawer. I removed this extra drawer to remove the extra weight. This extra weight actually helped cause the drawer to pull out when traveling, and caused the wear on the grey retainer. I bought a plastic fork and knife organizer from Wal-Mart.
In short , it's not worth the effort to try and install the plastic grey pieces with the side rails in place. Hope this helps someone.
