Tripping the GFI

Occasionally I plug the coach into a GFI protected 15 or 20 amp circuit the the GFI will trip after about one hour. It happens even if the inverter is off and the batteries are fully charged. It has happened at several different places.
When I'm plugged into normal 30 or 50 amp service there are no problems.

Jim. It wouldn't be unuasual for a normal gfi to trip at 15amps the first time, and degrade after that. The next time 13-14 amps, then 12 or 13 and so on till many won't hold a load at their rating.
It's easy to see with the hot water heater(4-5amps), the Xantrex charging up the batteries (3-4 amps), TV, reciever, toaster (7-8 amps), micro-wave 10 amps+ they will heat up and trip. Hope this helps......Skip 2002 Intrigue #11329
