Engine stop

Twice on our trip from Greensboro, NC to Nashville, TN we got the emergency stop lights ("engine shutting down"). Of course we pulled to the side of the highway ( I-40) and stopped the engine. I checked the fluids and added a little oil (the oil level showed barely below the full mark ) because I thought it might be lower than the dip stick showed due to the angle of the coach. After about 10 minutes we started the engine and continued without further problem. The second time I was actually able to level the coach and found the fluids fine (the oil slightly above the high mark). I dumped the fuel filter to see if it was clogged and found very little black sludge-like material. After about 10 minutes of cooling, I started the engine and continued without any more problems.
I have a C-13 Cat engine in our 2006 Intrigue Ovation II. What kind of problem should I be looking for? Has anyone else had this problem? We are on our way to Montana where I plan to spend the summer fly fishing and we will encounter more steep grades on the way.

Hi Gene, Been a While, May be a sessor problem, Take it to your Cat dealer and have them put on the laptop and check codes, Road test as needed and get the fluids up to running temp. Also have a software update checked. Always start at the engine starting battery snd treminals and see if critters have eaten the wires. Keep us posted an engine stop on a Cat is serious and not going into limp mode sounds bad, Keep us posted!
