Motosat satellite equipment

It is my understanding that Motosat is out of business - is that correct.
Among other issues I have a bizarre phenomenon in my coach. When I am locked on to a satellite and after a while the signal strength falls, I get DRAMATIC instantaneous improvement in signal strength when I switch on my Porch light -and it stays good. Is there any possible explanation for that?

Yes they are out of business, I just had to have mine replaced with a new system because they could not get any support to fix an issue.

I just had my Motosat replaced with the Winegard Trav'ler 1000.
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/winegard-travler-dish-1000-multi-satellite-tv-antenna/37341 This is a great setup, I got mine at Camping World and had Kustom Coach Works in Junction City install it along with a new DISH Solo ViP211k HD Satellite Receiver that I added to my Dish account for $7.00 a month.

That's easy..with your porch light on the satellite can see you better and thus can better send the signal to you. ;-)
Or maybe the Motel 6 tagline applies - "We'll leave the light on for you"

Sorry for the humor...I could't resist!

Oh, this explains it. I always thought that was what the blue light was for!

Yes, they are out of business but you can get parts for most of their antennas at RFMogul. Just got a part for my batwing but my Motosat still works fine. Barrie Boas 94 Concept 5111 (East Coast)
