Connecticut RV Tax

Just read a story in the latest FMCA mag about local tax assessors being able to tax someone if they are out of state and are stationary for more than 3 months. They go to campgrounds and find out from the managers if anyone has been there for an extended stay. The couple who wrote the story was taxed 2000.00 for their stay. Does anyone know of other jurisdictions like this? We tend to stay in one place for a season before moving on. I would sure like to avoid these areas.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll never need one again.

I am confused, does that mean if you want to stay in warmer climates you go to red states and cooler climates are blue? I tend to like all the states in American and enjoy most of the folks we meet no matter red or blue.

Can anyone send me a link to that story. NY tax collectors are getting aggressive and will only back down when push by CPAs, not owners. They are essentially trying to increase revenue regardless of whether it is actually due. Private jet owner got a bill from Maine for $200,000...because of a fuel stop!
