32' or 36' Allure or Intrigue

We have owned a 2001 32' Allure with one slide since November 2000.
At no time have we experienced any instability in the handling of this coach. We have traveled over 36,000 miles andbeen in many tight situations without difficulty. With the short 195" wheel base and 50 degree wheel cut the coach can be turned a full 360 degrees in a clear space of 45 feet. We can do that towing our Ford Ranger pickup. We have been absolutely delighted with the performance of this short coach. We moved down from a 36' rig. The big comprimise is you may short yourself on storage space but if your not full time that may be a non-issue.

We were in the same place as we traded down from a 40 foot coach looking to find a more maneuverable coach and one which would allow us access to many national parks and local camping areas here in Oregon we love to visit.
We finally opted for the 36' Evening Star over the 32' CC because we needed more bay storage than the 32' afforded us. It was definitely the right choice for our needs.

Thanks for the insight. There doesn't seem to be a lot of 32' CC out there so I am really relying on the people who own one. I think the flexibility in tight spaces is more important to me for the way I am going to use it. I appreciate any information about the driving experience you might have.

We put 10K miles a year on ours and love it. It was a bit bouncy up front, but stiffening up the front shocks took care of that. It is a bit short on outside storage, but for a short coach has lots of inside storage. That plus a Joey Bed and we're in good shape.

My wife's only complaint about driving it is that she rarely gets a turn. She loves to drive it and often takes it by herself.

We have a 32' and we are not thinking or considering selling it. At first it was an adjustment. At very first we loved it, but after a short while, I noticed a lot of "play" oscillation, whatever they call it. And yes, my wife won't drive it, but she was the one who really wanted a 32'. I have adjusted to it and I feel it drives "fine" I can drive with one hand, and that's what I care about. Changing seats with my wife wasn't really very safe while we were driving, and yes driving a MH takes concentration. There are severe ruts in I-5 through Portland, and it bugs me when I have to drive on them, but I can't say that our other MH Ultimate Freedom, or Journey, would not have wandered in those ruts. So, all in all, we love our 32' my wife loves the size, and maneuverability, I love the 400hp, allison tranny, tyresmart, silverleaf, panasonic, ie on and on. CCI will work with you if you don't think it rides well, they will work and work and work. The main reason we switched to CCI is their factory and the men who work there. I could go on and on about other OEM's, but I won't. I will say we love CC.
