Both slide rooms failed

Yahoo Message Number: 91034
We are on the road in our 04 Allure with Power Gear electric slides. After bringing the slides in, the main room needed snugging in and at that point both slides became inoperative. When activating either room switch the relays in the service bay click, but the motors do not run.
The clicking of the relays alone indicate power to the relays, but I checked the 20 A fuse in the service bay that protects the system and it is good. The system requires ignition power at the room switches and the 7.5 A automotive fuse in the compartment under the driver's seat checks good.
The Power Gear manual shows a control unit and current limiter, but the CC wiring diagram does not show either. It shows power going from one of the relay spades directly to the motors. I have power at those spades, but if the room switch is activated it knocks the voltage down on the motor circuit. An ohm test of the wire from the relay to the motor shows no resistance (0 ohms), or dead short on BOTH motor wires. The wires going to the motors are numered, but the wires at the motors are not numbered.
The big questions are first, if the motors or wires are shorted why doesn't the fuse blow? How could both motors go bad at the same time? Is there a component between the relay and the motor that could be bad?
Anyone have any experience with this kind of failure on the Power Gear sysystem?

Thanks

Check the small tube fuses on top of each slide motor.

Check the type 2 fuses aka circuit breaker (silver) located in the bay where fuel filters are located on our Allure. These are time delay fuses and you have to wait until they reset themselves. We bought the replacement fuses from Kevin Waite.
Also, check in bay underneath slides and make sure the wires are connected. The wires on ours were loose. We had the same symptoms.
Sometimes the wires in the top of the relays aren't attached property.
The ignition key has to be in the on position for the slides to work properly and we can only extend or retract one slide at a time.

Kevin helped us with ours.

You are right about the auto reset fuse (silver) in the service bay. I didn't realize there were two fuses back there for the Power Gear system. Another member contacted me and mentioned that. I put in a regular 10 A blade fuse and the rooms worked but blew the fuse. I need a fuse now and am trying to find one. I thik it is bad. Going to NAPA now.
