Yahoo Groups Going Crazy

Yahoo Message Number: 91228
As a member of this group as well as 8 other Yahoo Groups and a Moderator of yet another Yahoo Forum I have been very frustrated and confused about what Yahoo is doing to their Groups. Here is an explanation that I just received that clearly explains the situation.

This is a very important message and I hope you will take the time to read it carefully and click on the link I have given. Yahoo is a free service and as a result we are at their mercy regarding changes they want to make to the programs/features they offer. With that in mind, please read the following:
On or about the 7th of August, 2013, users began noticing something different about their Groups pages.
It was soon noticed that certain users (accounts, not groups) were affected, and that "/neo/" had become part of the URL when those users viewed their groups. So the nickname "neo" has been adopted, as apparently intended by the Groups Team at Yahoo.
A few other things can be said about it: It appears to be a test rollout of a new format of Yahoo Groups, though nothing has been said about it publicly by Yahoo.
Test "participants" are involuntary, with no notice given nor permission sought. If your groups look normal, you are not involved in the "Neo" test. It is NOT limited to any geographical area, but worldwide. Those selected will find ALL their groups affected. At first, all those selected appeared to be owners of at least one group, though more recently, members-only have reported being added to the "Neo" test ranks, and at least one NEW group member has reported being added upon joining their first Yahoo Group.
Those who have been neo'd report many problems or "bugs". They cannot access some of the features they were using on a regular basis in the "classic mode". It could be that they don't know where those features are now. It has been noted that Yahoo is making changes on a daily if not hourly basis. So if something isn't working at 8 AM it could be working at 8:05. The new interface is totally different from the one we are use to seeing. It will take a lot of getting use to. I'm sure there will be a lot of frustration on the part of those who are less computer savvy than others or maybe even those who are very computer savvy. It will require patience on all our parts. I have not been neo'd as of yet. Group Managers were advised to create a second account as insurance against being neo'd. If our regular account was neo'd and we lost the ability to manager the group, we could fall back on the second account. Rich S one of my Group Managers has been neo'd and is able to see the new neo format and also log in to his second account and use the classic format. This will give him a chance to explore the Neo format and try to learn how to use it and be able to answer questions. I will not be able to do that until I get neo'd. There are regular members of this group who have been neo'd. Some may not know it yet. You will know for sure if you log on to the web and go to the Sisters site. If you are neo'd you will see a totally new look as Lois mentioned. This change should not affect your email if you are getting your messages in that way. BUT, it could slow things down or cause some message to get lost in cyber space for the neo'd members. WE ALL WILL BE NEO'D EVENTUALLY. They are adding many people to the neo group every day. It is in your best interested to visit the following link which is a Tour of the new Neo Interface. Study it carefully and read all the balloons which describe where to find things. You may even want to bookmark this page for future reference.

It is my understanding that this Tour is available from the home page for neo'd members--look for a link or box that mentions it. On the link it mentions to click on the arrow at the right--DO NOT DO THAT--just scroll down and you will see the various pages that make up the tour.
