Anyone have a repair person they trust in the las vegas area. Our inverter is lights out. Have try all the easy stuff, it's a RS2000 Xantrex. Not so much worried about the cost, just want someone who know's what they are doing to do the work? Has anyone else replaced the factor inverter, if so what model did you use, did the remoat panel still work the same?

Mike,

This past summer I replaced my Xantrex with a Magnum "MS2812"? 2800 watt inverter. I have heard good things about the Magum products and thus far am pleased with the one I purchased. I bought a remote control (ME-ARC50) to control my unit & did not try to utilize the old controls. I also purchased an autogen module & battery combiner & had them installed at the same time.

Magnum 2800 is a direct replacement but you will need to replace the remote. Search on line and compare prices. I saved about $600. It is pure sine wave and your wife can use her electric blanket.

Mike,

I had mine repaired (the cooling fan stopped working causing, the A/C board to overheat) parts and labor around $450.00. This was at a factory authorized repair facility in Virginia. The fan is similar to a computer case fan. If mine ever fails again I will lose the inverter and just go with a 12 volt converter. anyways good luck

Have had problems with our Xantrex 458 Freedom Inverter in our '05 Country Coach Inspire in the past. We got tired of the lack of expertise with regard to this inverter, and drove to White House, TN to get repairs. A weak circuit breaker was replaced on the bench and we've had no further trouble with it.

Had the same problem with ours. I purchased a $5.00 computer cooling fan and replaced the defective fan with a few very minor modifications. Worked great!

Mike,

I'd trust B&B Coach Works (www.bbcoach.com), 702.873.4415. Located West of I-15, South of Flamingo. Check and see if they will look at your inverter problem.
