Flat Towing Honda Fit Sport

We have a 2010 Honda Fit Sport with a manual transmission. Does anyone have experience flat towing Honda Fit's? My main concern is the ground clearance in the front of the Fit. It doesn't take much of a raise in a driveway for instance, to force a cross entrance at an angle, rather than going in straight. I would think that tow bar may keep the front end up somewhat but I am still concerned about having to disconnect it too often.

Thanks.

Can't comment on the Fit specifically but tow bars do not raise the towed car. The tow bar mounts to the base plate on the car with pins that allow the car's suspension to behave pretty much like it was being driven.

I have a neighbor with a Fit and the front air dam is what makes the car seem low in the front. I suspect she has scraped it a time or two.

Somebody asked about flat towing Honda FITS. We have been towing a 2008 Fit Sport since buying it new in December 2007.
In a very rare case of Honda failure, we lost the transmission whilst in Santa Fe. It was replaced on warranty after we convinced the service manager that that FITS are in fact approved by Honda for flat towing (we had to show him the reference in the manual).
The tow bar will not raise or lower the front end of the Fit, and indeed you wouldn't want it to do so. We too are careful about steep driveway drop-offs, high curbs and severely graded gutters. We have had no problems with the front end ground clearance causing problems. Just exercise due caution.
