Flushing the Hurricane boiler fluid

Does anyone out there have some advice on how to flush the Hurricane Heater system and put new anti-freeze mixture in. I have been adding a little bit of fluid over the past year and the water in the overflow appears somewhat grayish. . I'm thinking I'll need to replace the old green hoses at some point but it does not appear to be leaking anywhere so I'd like to flush the system and start monitoring it more closely. Also, if you have replaced the green hoses what is the best type of hose to install that is not so permeable? Appreciate any advice. Thanks Randy

Randy, I have the Hurricane flushing instructions from ITR, I can mail them to you or you can call ITR on Monday and get them @ 360-993-4877

I found that I have three pumps for the anti-freeze to circulate and was going through the same as you. Thought it was a hose but I had a leak in the pump right over the top of my transmission. From the top (under bed) it was an easy fix. I swore it was a hose until I saw it spraying and it only got worse with time. I could find no leaks under the vehicle and apparently what was happenning was that it was spraying on the engine was intermittent. When engine was hot it would dry up and I couldn't find the leak. I had a pump go before and it leaked bad out of the rear compartment so that was easy to find and easy fix too.
I don't know if your Allure is the same but I have a 40 ft 2000 Affinity with a C12 Cat. Even with other engine setups you may have the same pump configuration. One by the Hurciane heater, one under rear bed on firewall above tranny and one in center compartment near internal fuse box and HWH hydraulics etc. I'm sure someone else can chime in to help. If it is the same, get it hot pull the cover over the top of your engine and look for spray while it's running and the heater is hot and engine is too. Other culprit can be the hoses at the clamps expanding and contracting. I use silicone under the clamps before I tighten them to keep any small crakes sealed.
