Jake Brake------2000 Magna C-9

When I take my foot off pedal with brake on max only the Allison shifts gears to slow down. THE Jake would come on quickly and slow the coach to about 5 mph. Any idea as to the problem and cost to fix? Thanks Very Much for assistance.

I'm not sure I understand te issue. Are you saying the transmission downshifts, but the Jake brake does not engage when you take the foot off the brake? It will do that if the cruise control is engaged. With the cruise off, the Jake will come on any time you take the foot off the accelerator when the Jake is engaged.
