Horn mounting?

I'm thinking of getting new horns and wondering if there is a nutplate under the bolts that hold the mirror onto the roof. Or, is there only a nut on the bottom that has to be accessed by removing some ceiling panels inside the coach. Anyone done this before? TIA.
