Thanks again to all for help in locating the brain and for the previous posts on how to overcome a ride height issue by removing the 7.5 amp fuse or wiring a switch in to disable that circuit. I chose to add a switch.
I purchased an inline fuse holder from Autozone and used 3M spade connectors to plug into the existing fuse location. I had to file down the spade connectors slightly so they would be narrow enough to match the legs on the fuse. I recommend 3M spade connectors because they are solid copper. My cheap Harbor Freight spade connectors are made by folding over the thin metal to make them thick enough for the female connector and when you file the edges down, a portion of the folded metal comes off and the connector is no longer thick enough to make a good connection. A hole was drilled in the bottom of the HWH box, a rubber grommet installed and the wires were run out to a switch located just inside my compartment door.
Now that I'm prepared for the occasion when the ride height goes nuts I fully expect to never need to use the switch. Something like the guy that buys a snow plow for the front of his truck and then it doesn't snow all winter.
