Overhead Lighting

I'm trying to identify the type of bulb in the ceilings. I looked through all of my manuals and am probably just missing it. Even checked the schematics.
I pulled the bulb and it's a 12v 10w 2 pin push in type. I want to replace them all as they go bad with LED's but can't figure out what it equates to. It might be halogen but I'm not sure. I'm guessing they put these in all of the CC's. I did a search and couldn't find any previous conversations or posts that relate.
Thanks,
Don

You probably have super heat generating halogen bulbs with the G4 base. I replaced all of mine with bulbs from superbrightled.com. This is the LED I used http://tinyurl.com/max5tyy in warm white. In my case I had to remove the internal reflector from the fixtures and bend the pins slightly. I'm satisfied with the light output and the color of the light.

I checked the website and see they have many more new LEDs so you might find something else that suits you.

One way to look at the replacement of the halogen bulbs is gaining battery capacity without buying more batteries. The LEDs I used have about 1/5 the the current draw as the original halogen bulbs with the benefit of not generating the heat.

They probably are JC G4 Tungsten Halogen lamps. They are widely available. I got a bunch through Amazon. They seem to last forever.

Pete, you are the MAN! Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for. And I'm getting them from Superbright.com so you know why I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I was replacing. And the dimmers work ok? That's something else I wasn't sure about, would they work with the dimmers..
Thanks again. Now I can order.

Don't know about dimmers as I don't have them. Contact them and they will respond quickly. I asked them about over voltage when I equalize the batteries and they responded no problems.

Thank you all for your responses! They have helped a great deal. I worked in the coach all day yesterday and came up with a couple more burnt out bulbs, the "wedge" type. They are in the sconces and bedroom reading lamps. So I ended going to superbrightleds.com and ordering a handful to test. If they are to my liking I will slowly replace the halogens with LED's. They are expensive, but provide the same or more light for a fraction of the electricity so help with battery life. Almost as important to me is the heat the incandescent and halogen lights put out. That will save on the AC.
I know they don't like this going out to everyone but I just wanted to thank all for the very kind assistance. If anyone is interested I'll post how these lights work out for me. on
