Inside door handle has come lose

The other when i pulled the coaches door closed from the inside -- one side of the handle came lose -- tried to tighten the screw but its not catching on anything.
How do i take the inside panel off to take a look at whats going on?

I had the same after taking the door panel off to replace the loom through the door jam. The screws are self tappers into metal in the door, on mine the hole just was too large to get a bite, so I used a bigger screw, actually a machine bolt which holds great.
To get the panel off you pop off the caps over the screws and remove the screws, remove the handle and release the screws holding the lock sheild. Jiggle the lever through, oh forgot the dead bolt, remove the handle for that too.
