Dash Air Vacuum Control System - '02 Intrigue

I suspect a leak in the vacuum system that controls the dash air and vents. I can hear the vacuum pump (located in the compartment directly below the driver) cycling on and off very frequently. This pump apparently supplies an accumulator "ball" and then many small hoses go to the locations needed to open and close vents and air ducts. The problem is that I can peek in through the front grill to see some of this system, but there is no way to get hands and arms in there to work on the system. Any experience on this particular model coach would be greatly appreciated.

I tried a temporary workaround by setting the dash air to a desired setting and then pulling the wire from the vacuum pump so that it wouldn't keep cycling but that only worked for a few minutes until (I guess) the accumulator ran out of vacuum at which point the dash air system stopped blowing until I plugged the vacuum pump back in to get the system to function again.

The default position with no vacuum is defrost. So if there is no vacuum it will be in defrost. Now, that being said, if something has fallen into the vents and is keeping one of the doors from operating like it should your results will be different.

If the vacuum pump is running a lot it is usually a vacuum line has fallen off of is cracked. The vacuum line leaves the "ball" and goes to the dash control. From there it goes to the defrost door, floor, dash door, etc. Try the different positions and see if it makes a difference in how often the pump runs, if not then it is probably the line from the ball to the control.
