Transmission Temperature Opinions?

Looking for your opinions/answers on an what seems like an unusual dilemma on my Allison  MH 3000 Temperature increase on a recent trip to East Texas, don't see it as a big problem but can't figure out what caused it's increase all of a sudden. Here's both the Past & Present & Actions taken.

PAST
1. Fan Controller is working perfect
2. Coolant Temp. cycles 188 to 198, and/or 190 to 200
3. Trans. Temp. 192 to 198
4. GOING Through City stop lights after stop lights never saw Temp's above 198 or on high mountain grades.
 CURRENT
1. Fan Controller is working perfect
2. Coolant Temps as shown above
3. Trans. Temp as shown above
4. GOING Through City stop lights, first few lights Temp at 194, 192, maybe 190, then after many stop and go's all of a sudden Temp goes to 198, then 200, & 201. I've just never seen 200 or 201 on my Trans.???

ACTIONS
1. Checked for Fault Codes on Trans Panel, None.
2. Checked Transynd Oil Level on Trans Panel A-OK
3. NEW Transynd Oil  6,000 miles ago, 140,000 mi. on Coach always used Transynd
4. Had CAC, Radiator, Trans Cooler, Oil Cooler & A/C Condenser Low Pressure Steam washed.
 TOOK FOR 60 Mi Test Drive Sunday including going through a city with many stop lights and slow go and results were as posted in CURRENT #4 above.

Your temps are ok.

The reason they are high is because you are spending a lot of time idling in traffic, hence the cooling fan is moving less air than it is at 60mph.

Worry when the temps reach 225-250.

You can also put the xmission in neutral when idling at the signal light.

If you are reading the temps on the dash gauge you have nothing to worry about.  If your are reading the temps off the Silver  leaf you still have nothing to worry about.  The gauge on the dash reads the temp as the trans. coolant leaves to be cooled by the radiator.  The Silver leaf reads the temp in the transmission sump where you are supposed to get the reading.  Its not unusual to see exit temps over 240 when doing stop and go traffic from the dash gauge, but you will note the temp will drop right away once you start moving.  The Silver leaf on the other hand will show a lower more constant temp.  As long as it doesn't reach into the high 240's there are no problems.  When the temps begin to climb during steep ascents or using the transmission as brake during descents, shift to a lower gear to get the rpms up to get better cooling.  If standing still in traffic switch to neutral while still and raise your engine speed to 1000 rpm and the temps will drop quickly.  I've forgotten the break down temp for TRANSynd the recommended synthetic fluid for the transmission, but it much higher than Dexron.  I think you will normally find the transmission and the engine temps track together closely except when idling in stop and go traffic, at least that's been my experience.  TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731  Allison  MH 3000  ISL 400.

On my inspire I could see the trans temp climb very fast if coming off freeway use then sitting at stop light. Once moving it would come right down. I got into the habit of shifting to neutral while not moving and temps stayed where they were and would not rise. I think the heat generated from the torque converter while stopped was to much for the cooler. I don't have any problem with my current machine but I do shift to neutral. Hope this helps.
