Air Break System for tow vehicle

Yahoo Message Number: 99277
Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to decide which type of air break system to install in my 2002 Jeep which I use for a tow vehicle.  The one which I am considering is Air Force One but I have also been advised to look at the M&G system.  I have noticed that the M&G system is fairly permanent so if I want to get a new tow vehicle I'd have to purchase another one that fits the new car.

Any preferences out there on one or the other?  I'm tired the Break Buddy system and plan to sell it, just too cumbersome to carry around with me in the jeep.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on this.

The m&g for me. Its easy to remove if you change vehicles and the system is so simple. More than likely if you change vehicles you would sell as a towable anyway. All I do is plug in the air, connect the emergency cable and go.

I have been using the Air Force One since 2008. Very happy and simple to use, Comes complete with breakaway. The unit can be used in any tow car which differs from the M & G.

IMHO.....I selected and use with complete confidence "SMI's Air Force One" system. It can be easily changed to a new car if you decide to trade up. SMI offers a kit for $60 that they recommend to make such a change.
Without the auxiliary braking system, I would already have creamed a car on the Atlanta By-Pass that decided to suddenly pull in front of me and stop!

If you want the ability to move from one vehicle to the next, then look at  he Road master Brake master system. It only takes a mounting bracket .

Another vote here for the Air Force One. I have moved mine three times to different vehicles and it has always worked flawlessly. SMI is a great company and provides excellent customer support.

Our M&G system has performed well for 3+ years now.  No hassle connect and disconnect.  I would repeat the purchase.
