Up dating

We visited Junction City Country Coach in September to get some repairs to our 01' Intrigue which we have owned for 11 years.  During that time we had no problems other than regular maintainence.  CC service Tech Andy gave it the once over and found a few items we should address.  I knew the Air Brake Filter was not working so that was tops on my list.  Andy found the problem, an O ring had not been installed with grease to hold it in place as it gets installed.  The O ring was cut into and as a result moisture accumulated.  We replaced the entire assembly, $500. +  My local Truck Shop had failed the test.  They were not forthcoming to help.  Next Andy found the valve cover gasket was leaking oil and he suggested a new gasket.  In the process I explained to him Cummins Atlantic had performed the Valve Lash adjustment in 2011 at 50K miles.  Now at 75K miles I ok the work.  He found two problems.  JBrake control wire was cut leaving me with half not working. Boy at this point I was  not happy with Cummins service tech.  I remembered asking him how did the valve adjustment job go, and he replied, he did not have to remove the closet and was thankful.. That should have sent me a message as Andy told me he could not do the job witout removing the closet doors.  Needless to say, it cost $4K to do this and reseal the roof.  Now for the best part, we wanted to update if we found a coach we liked.  So after looking around we fell for an 04' Intrugue on consignment at Country Coach.  Andy did the inspection for me and we found several items that needed repairs.  The list of repairs was a part of the deal and the trade was made except for my final check.  I wanted to put the coach on the rack and do a walk under.  To my dismay, the drive side wheel had an oil seal leaking. After $1,000 later, we made the move to our new home on the road.

We are very pleased with the 04' and all the upgrades to that model year.  Country Coach made so many I coud not list them all.  My biggest susprise was the tag axle benefits.  You could not have sold me a tag before this.  Now, I recommend the tag for many reasons but mostly for the ride.  Remember, you have six shocks working to help smooth out those potholes and bridges.

Hope you all enjoy this story and remember, dont trust your coach to any service tech.  Check him out and make sure you ask questions after service.  Our 01' never had a problem until Cummins worked on it.  Oh, I didnt tell you about Cummins installing the exhaust manifold and some how, the tubo booster's oil line came incontact with it.  It only took 10K miles to melt it and in  Deadwood City we had an oil leak.  Good Sams was ready to tow but I didn't want that for many reasons.  They agreed to send me a refund if I called local service.  The bill for the new oil line was $495 and they sent me a check for $200.  The tow bill was estimated at $1,800.  We are switching to Coach Net on the next renewal date.

Cannot say enough good words about Andy, the Senior Service Tech at Country Coach.  He is the best!!!
