Leaking Fuel Fitting

Yahoo Message Number: 99705

When I started up my coach (2006 Inspire with C9) this weekend I noticed fuel dripping under the engine. Further investigation showed the leak to be from a fitting where a rubber hose connects to the engine at the rear of the block (over the bell housing where the transmission connects to the engine). It appears that this is a fuel hose that returns unused fuel to the fuel tank. The fitting appears to be of a type where the hose simply pushes into the fitting but I cannot find any way to release the hose from the fitting. Has anyone had any issues with this return hose fitting and/or know how the hose releases from the fitting? I have attached a photo of the hose and fitting

Yes, been there and just done that Friday. I went into Peterson Cat in Portland with the same pic on my cell phone and showed them, they said EZ fix max 2 hrs. So I took it in all they had to do is lift the floor, wires in the holes no bolts and remove, cost $560.00 and I only paid $400 to adj valves and run the ECM. They cut it off and installed a new compression fitting and 90deg fitting coming off the fuel pressure regulator. That is a return line to the tank. Bad design, works great on plastic air line push and they lock but sucks on fuel. I have only 21k on my C9.

I had the same problem 2 months ago. Redlands replaced the cracked fitting.
