Drivers Side Wiper Issue

The drivers side wiper on our '02 Intrigue decided today it will only return to center when it wants to...not good when I'm the rain!  Reading some forums, it appears there was a recall on this issue many years ago. Something about being incorrectly grounded.
 Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, any ideas on how to fix it?

Ron.  Do you mean it won't sweep when the switch is on, or won't park when the switch is turned off

It stops when on from time to time on the left side of the windshield, and goes back to park only when it wants to, whether switch is on or off.

You probably need to check the cone nut on that wiper it sounds like it is  a little loose. Remove the cap and loosen the nut. Out the wiper in the correct  position and tighten the nut. IF the other side is doing as it should this is  most likely the issue.
