Wiring issues

Hi All,

Our '01 36' Intrigue has the HWH air leveling system which has worked flawlessly sine we bought the coach new.  During a recent routine engine/chassis service the tech pointed out some loose wiring in the rear of the coach.  At the time the coach was on a lift, so it was easy to access the underside.  Upon my inspection, I determined that several of the connections to the HWH air manifold solenoids had been disconnected and the wires to one solenoid were missing completely.  Additionally, all the zip ties holding the wiring away from the driveshaft were broken, allowing the wires to hang in close proximity to the drive shaft.  Knowing I would need some parts from HWH, and leaving on a trip in a couple of days, I had the tech zip tie the wires out of the way so we could safely travel, albeit, we would not have the ability to level the coach on the air bags.

The bottom line:. At the end of the previous trip, I probably picked up a plastic bag or something similar around the driveshaft, which knocked the wires loose, etc.. On arrival home, I parked the coach in the level drive, then subsequently in the level garage and had no opportunity to determine that the leveling system was inopp.

I ordered 2 solenoid valves from HWH, installed them yesterday, tied up the wires and all is well.

Lesson:. S*** Happens, and sometimes you have no control over the situation.
