Tag axle issue

Yahoo Message Number: 102110
I have discovered that part of my "bronco ride" issue is that my tag is not going all the way down.  It does raise and go down but when it barely touches the ground it stops.  So, my drive wheels are carrying way too much weight.  I need to correct this but I don't know what determines how much air pressure is applied to the tag.  I'm currently in Farmington, NM and would like to get on to Las Cruces.  I have calculated the weight/pressure requirements for drive tires and I think they could carry the weight oK but this is not the best situation.  So I need some info on how to get the tag into proper function.  All ideas welcome.

Your coach would be rated at 35,000 lbs with out the Tag and that's about what you weigh with fuel and

nothing else.  First I would call Dave Remington at OMC in Eugene.  He was asst to the director of

chassis  MR Churchill and was also the chief go to guy when anyone broke down with in 1000 miles for

CC.  He knows them all.  Second would be to call HWH and find out how the road operation is

transferred by HWH to the parking mode.  Maybe you ought to re level your coach  and see if it goes

back to normal while in the travel mode with the tag switch off.  How was Durango?  TWI 2004 Intrigue

Have you checked your hydraulic fluid levels.  remember for the fan and power steering etc they use

Dexron and for the rooms they use a clear fluid.    I had work done by the Cummins people in

Farmington and they were good people.  But don't know if they are a coach care center.  If you belong

to Coach-net give them a call maybe they know of some one close.  TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731

Windsor, Tom,  This is one for the books.  Called HWH and they were very responsive.  A tech named Randy walked me through voltage checks etc. in the HWH main control box.  Everything checked out.  We spent about an hour and found nothing.  Them we did several functional tests and everything worked.  Tag worked, leveling worked, etc.  No apparent reason for the various issues we had over the last three days.  It was clearly a gremlin.  Now for the road test tomorrow.  I thank you guys for responding.

Hope the gremlin is gone for good, and does not move to another CC owner:)! Fingers crossed that it will not return...

Good to hear that HWH was available and able to help so fast.

Best, and of course, let us know...

Same thing for me.  Randy called me back and then ran through voltage tests on the "beehive" control box.  Found a problem.  Had to remove and send to HWH.  They fixed it and then  when I had problems reinstalling (I didn't have one of the plugs completely plugged in) I called him back and he walked me through it and figured out I didn't have the plug in completely.  The only charge was for one hour of diagnosis on the unit at HWH and a 50 cent relay and shipping both ways.  Luckily I was parked at my winter headquarters and didn't need to move the slides in or out for a few months.
