Check Engine Light

Hi, Our check engine light came on when we had traveled to Colorado in November, we left the coach there and will be going back next week to pick it up and drive back to Arizona.
We are going to stop in Cortez and have it looked at. How many different problems could we possible have????

Thanks for you input

There are a number of things but the first thing I would look at is the coolant level and go from there

You could have a long list of things. We've had them including a broken thermostat in the radiator, a bad electronic control module, and loose wire on an injector control. Found it best to take our to a Cat dealer.

If the red light comes on you'll have to have the unit towed. When my warning light came on it was a sensor on the injection pump that failed. After it was replaced the accumulator section of the pump failed 2,000 miles later. Then the entire pump needed to be replaced. 98 Allure 30255 with 330 ISC

If your check engine light came on you should have a fault code your engine computer diagnostic, I use a diesel monitor sold at camping world and other places ($160.00). It shows the codes and I can look it up online, definitely has paid for itself many times.
