Water Puddle on Living Room Floor

Yahoo Message Number: 52277
Hi all, my wife and I own a 2003 Intrigue First Avenue, #11650. We have a mysterious water leak/water puddle in the carpet on the floor of the front of our living room near the middle of the floor about 18" behind the front entry tile (to the right and behind the driver's seat). The puddle occurs in heavy rain and appears to come from the floor not the ceiling as the ceiling is dry. It appears as a small dot on the carpet. When you touch the carpet it is soaked below the surface. The floor feels dry all around the edges (i.e., near the living room slide). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mark.

A couple of things to check. First is the seal on top of the slide. Yes, a floppy top seal can cause a wet carpet. Next is to check the little trough at the corner of the slide. You have to remove the accordion curtain behind the driver seat and then pull in the slide about a foot to see it. It has a tendency to come unglued from the wall and then the water runs on the carpet.

Hi,

Is your kitchen in the slide? We had a joint separation in the plumbing beneath the kitchen cabinet, accounting for a leak. It was a bit of a challenge to fix, but was DIY.

Please feel free to call me and I will describe how I fixed it.
