Air for the tires

We have a 2004 Allure also. We are wondering about inflating tires with the connection in the engine compartment. Have you managed to get this to work?

The only efficient way to inflate your tires is with a convenient gadget Bob Dickmans Les Schwab sells. I call it a pressure doubler. 80 lbs in equals 160 lbs out. Its about the size of your hand and weighs less than 5 lbs I would guess. . You can buy it as kit with case fittings and hose . I paid $375.00 for mine at a FMCA rally in 03. It plugs into your air supply and with the engine running will bring your front tires up to the recommended 120 lb pressure in a few minutes. Ive tried different air supplies from sears, home depot and loses guaranteeing pressure capability of 150 lbs. They can be big an awkward and seldom deliver what they promise. This gadget works, doesn't weigh a ton and doesn't take up valuable space. TWI 2004 intrigue 11731

Sure, been doing it that way for almost ten years. Go to your local auto parts store for the needed couplings, etc. and 50 feet of air line hose rated to deal with high air pressures. The only pressure challenge are the steer tires as their needed pressure is near the upper limit of what your coach system will generate.

Since tires not leaking, etc. need attention only a couple times a year it's harder to get to 115 PSI (in my case) but doable. My local truck stop has air hoses at every fuel bay so I use them once a year or so to get the needed higher pressure.

Yes, you can spend a few hundred for the devices suggested by others, to me it's an unnecessary expense. guess it what's your pocketbook can tolerate.

I have had the Dickman doubler for about 10 years and have been very happy with its ability to inflate the steer tires to 120 lbs.

I installed it permanently in the bay below the drivers seat where the air connection is located.
