Old message but I just went through this, remove the two doors and cabinet inserts to the left and right of the TV, there are screws through the mount into the rear of the TV

If your TV mount is like ours in our 2005 40' Magna, there is a wood panel that has 6 screws on the backside of the TV cabinet between the cabinet and the windshield. I just removed that panel and plugged in my added HDMI cable and I removed many of the old cables while I was upgrading most of the AV equipment - except the TV - the TV is the next project when I find the right one on sale...

Mike,

I also have a 2005 40' Magna Matisse. I replaced the front TV with a 40" Samsung which was a perfect fit.
Thought this might be helpful to you.

Fred,

Thank you! I'm looking at TVs and wondering about a 40 versus a 43...
