What part of AZ? We went to the Maritimes last summer, but did not go to Newfoundland due to time and costs of ferry. We left Yuma in late May for granddaughters wedding in Iowa in mid June, then left heading North and East on Father's Day weekend. Our favorite area was PEI. Absolutely beautiful country! Enjoy your trip!

Hi Linda,

We did all of the provinces east of Minneapolis in a 45' Monaco Exec towing a Tahoe. We even took the ferry to the eastern end of Newfoundland. I don't remember any special problems. Look carefully at camping guides and call ahead to ensure they can handle your rig. Most of their campers are smaller so the parks don't have a lot of huge spaces.

Having been there, we would not go back to Newfoundland. It was mostly bleak with lots of poverty due to the factory ships from other nations over fishing the cod. Very sad... The ferry was expensive as well.

We believe PEI and Nova Scotia were prettier. What ever you choose don't miss the Bay of Fundy. The tides are simply amazing!

Have fun,
Jim

Linda,

If your time and budget allow, DO NOT miss Newfoundland! Our trip there was one of the best in all of our travels since 1997. We went with my sister and her husband who had a 45' Prevost and they had little or no problem.

The people there are the most welcoming, accommodating and friendliest we could have imagined. They all went way over and above to see that we were taken care of. We spent a month on the island and could have stayed longer if it weren't for prior commitments.

Do you get the idea that I recommend and advise that you go?

I'll second that! We think it is the prettiest Canadian province. The people and their history are awesome.
