Electrical---HELP

Yahoo Message Number: 104535
We are ready to move the coach and the rear slides will not retract. Also, the rear awning will not retract. The front slides and awning are fine.

We were away from the coach for a few days when we came back, the electric was off. We thought it was the breakers, because we got it back on. Someone suggested that the battery might be low, but it is fine.

Later the slides failed, but after tripping the breakers, they worked. Now, nothing happens!

12 volt lights work and 110 works.

Strange that it is the back of the coach and not front.

Any suggestions???

What coach do you have? Perhaps you could try to fire up the generator and see if that has any effect as that takes a different electrical path. Just a try that might reset something . You will receive a more clear response from some of our superb EE folks! Mike F 06 Inspire 51784

Thought about HWH---but that would not affect the awning. Mobile service is looking but so far not finding anything. :(

Make sure your Park Brake is set and if it is make sure the HWH Leveling Pad does not show "Not In Park"

Mobile tech could not find the problem. Will make phone calls and be back tomorrow.. Jerry drove it with the slides and awning out--fortunately, it was just a short distance and not on a road. We are at Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville, TX. Just had to move from the RV park to our casita that we just bought!!

Still looking for suggestions.

we had intermittent problems with both slides and no tech could locate the problem. With the help of our brother-in-law, Lonny finally found the problem - multiple loose wires in the rear service bay on the passenger side. Once he tightened all the connections we haven't had any more problems. We also found a loose wire going to the motor in the living room slide which also caused intermittent problems.

I have a 07 Inspire and the motor for my single rear slide is under the bed. I would recommend placing a voltmeter on the motor leads, press the slide switch and determine if you are getting power to the motors. If power is present it is the motor, if it is not then it is something upstream. Trace the wires back through the various breakers. In your manual you should have a wiring diagram that can help with your trouble shooting.

I always leave my engine running when using my slides.

Hope this helps

Have you tried completely shutting down the coach. Unplug from a electricity. Turn off the main switch and the 12 volt switch for the coach. let it sit with no electricity for about 5 mins then turn all back on. sometimes things just don't make sense why they don't work. I have even had to unplug the HWH from the system and make it boot back up when I had a problem with the rear slide. Keep the group informed on you situation. There are alot of great people here to help you solve this problem.
