New owner — 2006 Affinity 730

Yahoo Message Number: 106517
Hi all"" My wife and I purchased a 2006 Affinity 730 last month. We are in the Northern California Bay Area. Like any 10 year old coaches it needs some updates and TLC. So far we have updated the dash radio, front entertainment system, added Apple TV, Harmony remote, new headlights, updated curb/flood/fog lights. Harry Lockwood of Sacramento has fixed many other issues.

Our plans are to add solar panels and replace the rear entertainment system. Also considering upgrading the cameras. This group is super helpful and we are open to suggestions!

Our unit very much needs a full exterior detailing. Any recommendations in the Bay Area?

Thanks!
Steve

Congratulations, you sound like you have a wonderful coach! These coaches are incredible once they are sorted "" powerful, rugged, very livable and the lap of luxury. The sorting process is fun, very worthwhile in the end, but can also be a bit frustrating and hurtful to your pocketbook. Just look at it as an adventure. You only live once, so enjoy. I would also suggest reading your manuals a few times, and poke around your coach. Get to know it. You will learn some things, forget, search and ask some questions here, go back reread and it all starts to make sense. It's like studying to get a graduate degree in Country Coach...The forum is very helpful, we all learn from it and are always eager to help. Post some photos of your new rig!

Hi, I'll be following this conversation and also live in the Bay Area. I used R Mechanic in Livermore for my service but, they went out of business last year. I live on the peninsula, and would like to find a new mechanic also. Congratulations on your new Country Coach.

I can't help with a service location, however, it might be good for customer that R Mechanics went out of business. I had one service and it was the worst. Happy to see them go.

I have used Peterson Cat in San Leandro for some work as I also had live in the East Bay.

You could try Harry Lockwood, I believe he worked at CC and is in the Sacramento Area. He was a huge help for me, over the phone.
I would advise you not to use Leales in San Jose.
You might want to come to Junction City, I keep coming back here for service. Seems like everything you need can be found here.

Harry has been doing all the work on my Coach! Super happy with the work and would highly recommend!

He will be installing the solar system and rear entertainment system. Looking for recommendations on components for both.

Any suggestions for exterior detailing in the Bay Area?

thanks!

Along with Kevin Waite, Bob Vinson, Jim Cooley (OMC) also Brian Schack (541-513-5224) for Engine Work. Also I know that Eric of CC also does outstanding work on alignment, torquing of chassis and HWH leveling.

You mentioned that you updated the headlights, turn signals and the curb lights. Did you replace the headlight assemblies or just install new bulbs?
