I'm broke down in Ohio (01 magna)and need a passenger side rear wheel seal. My book gives me the country coach part number as 17981-21 national but doesn't cross reference with anything at the parts house........... Any help is greatly appreciated

Is there a listing for the make and number of the axle? Should be able to figure it out at a truck shop. Or... the shop should be able to take seal out and see if there are numbers on seal. Good luck.

Sorry to interrupt this thread but I am having difficulties getting into my acct. The problem I'm having is I'm getting beeps coming from the dash area behind the silver leaf. Oil pressure is good. Temps are good. Can't figure out what the sounds are for. The beeps are the same tone as a turn signal but have numerous beeps with no pattern. Seems like a warning or alarm? Any info would be appreciated!

Have you tried calling Art at CC?  Maybe he will give you the Timken number since you are stranded.

When you removed the seal was the seal green or red, were the seal numbers on the seal destroyed?

First thing I did was call country coach and they couldn't cross reference it with their part number. Luckily after they tore it apart they had one in stock. Then I had to wait to get brakes from a hour away hahaha......... All is good now back on the road

John, happy to hear you found the right part and are on your way. How many miles did you have on the brakes? Just curious how long these big brakes last.  Greg06 Magna 6642  From: Country-Coach-Owners@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Country-Coach-Owners@yahoogroups.com] Sent: Friday, August 19, 2016 8:55 PMTo: Country-Coach-Owners@yahoogroups.comSubject: Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Need a wheel seal cross reference    First thing I did was call country coach and they couldn't cross reference it with their part number. "Just curious how long these big brakes last."

My 1995 does not have the big brakes of your rig, but I had the front brakes inspected when the wheel bearings were repacked at 99,000 miles and 20 yrs.

The front brakes were "like new" according to the very experienced tech at OMC.

Interestingly, one of the raps on our rig, when it was new, was that the brakes were undersized.

I do use the PacBrake during most of my West Coast driving except when on surface streets or on long flat highway runs (not many of these around). So the service brakes do not get used a lot.
