Chassis Battery Drain

If I let the coach sit for about a week without charging, the chassis battery drains to less than 10 volts. I believe that CC left the computer or something else connected.

Has anyone put a battery switch to eliminate this? Even with the switch in the rear compartment turned off, it continuous to drain.

I've had to reboot the pedal connection a couple of times after this happens. Any harm to the computer if it is disconnected?

You need to find out where the power is going. If it takes a week to take the battery down it's probably less than 10 amps so most meter "Volt Ohm Meters" will work. In our coach the battery switch disconnects every thing unless something is connected before the switch. Once you've figured out where it's going you can solve the problem.

I have a clamp on amp meter I got at a rally for less than $100. Great addition to my collection!!

I have been away from the site for a few days, so this may have already been discussed, but I had the same issue last year. My problem was a shorted cell in one of the house batteries. I replaced both batteries, although they were only 2.5 years old. If your batteries are wet cell, it is easy to check the specific gravity of each cell with a hydrometer. If you don't, a simple test is to take the positive battery connectors off and monitor the voltage of each battery over a few days with a voltmeter. If it still drops, the problem is one or the other of your batteries, and if that is the case, I would replace both house batteries, presuming you have 2..
