Battery tenders

Does anyone have a recommendation for battery tenders for chassis and coach for a 2006 Inspire?

I have used a Battery Tender brand maintenance charger on my chassis battery for over 12 yrs. It keeps the battery at Float Charge once it finishes charging it. Just replaced the battery after 12 years. I attach it every time we park for more than a couple of days, and when it goes into storage. I plug the coach into 20amp outlet to keep the house batteries at Float, and plug the charger into a basement outlet. Easy, inexpensive, and effective.

I second the Battery Tender. Use them on all my stored batteries. They make one for gel cell batteries.

Didn't your coach come with a Echo Charger? If so, you don't need a battery tender. Plug the coach in, the inverter will charge the house batteries and the Echo Charger will take care of the chassis battery.

I have had the Battery Tender on my chassis battery now for 4 years.
I simply leave it plugged into the coach 110 power all the time.
It keeps the battery charged and on float when fully charged, it works great.
Just don't get the small 1.5 amp unit. I have the 5 amp unit.

The Echo Charger that came with the coach proved disappointing within months of purchasing the coach new in 2004, so I bought the Battery Tender and haven't been disappointed since. History has shown that my echo charger model was junk, according to Country Coach service advisors. Replacing it was expensive and I am cheap. Lol.

I use a BatteryMINDer, Model 2012. Use in for the 8D lead-acid batteries. It's the 2 amp model, but it does a very good job of maintaining a full charge on 4 of these big batteries. Think in was about $75 on Amazon.

I had a magnum battery charger installed on my 2005 Inspire. Solved my problem with the Echo that came with coach. Never a problem after.

I use this one (Granite Save-a-Battery) on all of my classic cars. It is a bit more expensive, and their are cheaper versions by the same company but I own 6 of these.

I have been using the same Granite Battery Charger for years now, on my Harley-Davidson motorcycle, CanAm Outlander Max 4-wheeler, Ford F250 Diesel truck, Cessna 180 airplane, 1969 Mustang Mach 1 Fastback, Sears Garden Tractor and two standby batteries, along with my 2008 Tribute 260 Country Coach. I am so impressed with them, that I have given them to my 3 sons to maintain their batteries as well. Friends of mine have seen mine, and purchased models for their own use. I have not heard of anyone that is displeased.

I second the Magnum replacement for the Echo Charger. They are much better, easy to install and available at most Marine Stores or on-line.

David my suggestion is don't mess with that stuff just by yourself 100 amp digital smart charger for about $150 and then you'll have a backup charger if your inverter charger fails. I actually use my backup charger most of the time rather than my inverter charger. Big difference in buying one vs. The other

It charges BOTH banks of batteries (Chassis & House) at the same time & is 25amps instead of 15amps.
