Broken Door wiring Harness

Yahoo Message Number: 109964
Hi all,

Our electric door mechanism for the main coach door has stopped working and the culprit is a broken wire going into the door unit as a result of fraying. Poor, sharp, broken insulating material.

Q:

Has anyone faced the same situation and repaired it? Are parts available, or will this be another major hassle at a repair shop?

Thanks for any responses.

Haven't started repair. Hopefully parts here by tomorrow.
I'll update, but I believe others have done this repair.

Just replaced the wire in my 09 Allure, very simple to do. However, to avoid having to do it again in the near future, I took the grommets out of the door and door jam and put a piece of clear tubing over the wire and into the door and door jam. It will eliminate pinching the wire in the future. Kevin has the wire you need. I recommend soldering and shrink tubing the connections up front. Just my two cents...
