New to me 2003 Lexa

Yahoo Message Number: 110745
Good morning. My name is Corey, and I've just taken delivery of a 2003 Lexa 42' Alexandria double slide. I already love the coach, but have multiple questions.

A. This coach has the motorized window blinds, but I can't figure out how they work. I can't find a switch anywhere to open, close, or actuate them. Can anyone help with their operation?
B. I've been going through my wiring schematics, and see in them (2) 12 volt bus panels for fuses and low voltage circuitry. I can only find one location in the bay door in front of drivers front tire with 12 volt fuses. Am I missing another area with fuses?
C. Where does one locate the cabinet latch hardware/hinges used in these coaches. Many of mine are broken requiring replacement.

I'm sure I'm going to have many questions as I sort this coach out, I haven't even attempted the hurricane heater yet, so please be patient with me as I work this one out. I'm a former bluebird and Holiday Rambler Navigator owner, but this is my first country coach.

Regards

Welcome to the group,

You have discovered a wonderful resource here for your coach and asking questions is one of those. Please take the time to search on past solutions too on this forum with your issues as this may reduce your time waiting for a reply. I seem to remember someone asking a simular question about your blinds a while back. This might also help you find the previous owner as well as others who have the same coach and year as you. Good luck.

Other resources are youtube with many do it yourself videos.

This site might help with your latches, however their are many others.

Corey, the low voltage fuse panel you have found in the street side electrical bay is primarily chassis power distribution. The house distribution panel is likely to be accessed through curb side bay three. In the middle of the coach on the aft wall of the bay is an access panel behind which is an electrical compartment. At least that is how my '03 Magna is set up and I think your coach is essentially a Magna/Affinity.

Congrats on the beautiful coach

On my 2006 Magna, The Right Track (800 872 2565) made the inside window blinds (electric Vienna shades) and they are powered by Somfy 12v wired motors. Both companies are still in business, so I'm sure they can help you with operating manuals. The switches to my blinds in living area are located in the cabinet behind the driver's seat, and the bedroom blinds are in the cabinet to left of TV.

Enjoy your new coach!

Congratulations on the Coach, Corey.

A - there should probably be a remote control for the window shades.

B - I think you'll find that there are fuse panels in quite a few places. In addition to the electronics bay, have a look in the engine compartment (tow panel under a metal cover), below the inverter control/thermostats in the rear of the coach and in the rear closet. I doubt that's comprehensive, but it's a start...

Sorry I can't help with C, but I'd suspect you could find them at a good online hardware specialist.

Hope all goes well with what is an exceptional Coach.
