I had a RV Electronics PLM-50A, which fried, I now find out they do not make them anymore, has anyone else had that issue and needed to replace it, if so which unit did you use.

Thanks,
Mike

I still have the OEM TRC unit in our coach. Never had a problem with it, and has protected us from mostly low voltage, one time high, too.

That being said, when a fellow Escapee member was selling this 16 month or so Progressive unit at a fair price, I bought it and have it available.

Since in our coach this is 'plug and play' in a cabinet behind where the TV used to be. I suspect over the winter I'll move the Progressive into place of the TRC. If the cables are long enough, I'll mount it to inside of the closet, so it's easier to see then removing clothes (Hanger Clothes:)!), stepping into the closet, and peering in thru the plexiglass panel to see what the communications lights are showing. I'll then retain the TRC as a back up.

If buying new, yep, I'd buy Progressive...

Best of luck to you,
Smitty
