I had the same issue. I finally purchased a new sensor and just plugged it in without attaching it to the tank. The tank is in a position I can't get to easily, so that will be a project I attack later! The tank reads orange all the time. I was told by the tech at Tecma that I had tissue on the wall of the tank but I filled it and flushed it many times with no success. The trouble shooting guide describes the sensors as being pressure sensitive but the tech had never heard of that!? Hmm... Good luck and travel safe!

Forgot to mention that unplugging the sensor will not work, it has to have continuity. That's beyond my comprehension! Lol

I found the tech manual online (after much looking - it's a Marine toilet, so can't be found by looking for RV units). Don't know if it would be helpful, but if you would like it, I'll be happy to email it to you...
