We are considering replacing or GE Advantium Microwave. We would like a new one that has a built in broiler as well as a convection oven. Has anyone done this? If so what brand did you use.

Why not keep the microwave and get a good toaster oven, which should meet all your needs and cost less. There some dandies out there.

Don't buy GE products. They are total crap. Their own service techs admit they built to break down within a few years.

We have a toaster oven which is a convection oven too, and it works great. I also wonder how many of us CC owners have gotten into the apparently fabulous crazy of using one of the Instant Pot Pressure cookers? I bought one but haven't used it yet because I have to learn new things and am waiting for just the right time! I'm not kidding though I know that sounds pretty silly.

Tom I am confused. Our GE Advantium oven has allowed us to broil, bake, and microwave for the past 13 years and is my kitchen favorite. I will replace with the same when the time comes. Safe travels.

Depending upon the type of Insta Pot you purchased, read the instructions and dive in. You will love it. I have made a whole chicken in mine twice and it didn't fall apart. Pinterest has a lot of free Insta Pot recipes.

Thank you, Sharon! I was hoping somebody would chime in here because from what I see on the Facebook RVers' site, many people are using this in RVs and loving the ease and no mess and not taking up a bunch of space. Do you have some favorites that you're using often with the Instant Pot?

I agree, our Advantium has been the best for 10 years!! Broils, bakes quickly and a great microwave. What are you having problems with? Maybe re-read the instruction manuel...

I purchased one at Sears in Stainless. They are all pretty much the same size. The screws to remove the micro are accessed from the cabinet above.

We did last year. We replaced with Cafe Advantium 1.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Over-the-Range Microwave -Convection GE-CSA1201RSS. Works great. Only issue is, in order to get the microwave out, the tile on the side wall had to be removed....which ultimately meant a new backsplash!!

I have an Advantium GE convection unit as many of you have. A few months ago it finally stopped. It is not the breaker as the 220 volt outlet is hot. So we are ready to remove and replace with a110 volt convection unit for about $ 500. So my question is---has anyone tried to get their unit repaired??

Richard.........My microwave/convection oven is 120 volt. It is fed by a dedicated circuit fed from the inverter. There should be 2 breakers on your inverter. One for the oven and one for all the other outlets in the coach. Check and see if that breaker is tripped before you decide to replace your oven.

Our Advantium unit has it's own 20amp breaker, and does not seem to require 220V. Good luck. We love ours. Safe travels.

220V outlet for microwave? ? ? ? Often referred to as 230 or 240V. Was it a typo. Did you mean 120V outlet?

Normal coaches are wired for only 120V, as that is the only voltage you can get on a 20A or 30A hookup. 50A connection, while they can yield 240V, they are always wired as two 50A 120V circuits. That way it doesn't matter if you are connected to 20A, 30A or 50A services -- everything is wired for 120V.

I bet your Advantium is the 120V version.
