Checking the Allison fluid level

Here is the procedure that I use: The temp needs to be about 180 to be sure it is hot enough. With the coach level and in N, engine running, push the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time. The screen will flash 8 for about 15 seconds and then 7 for 15 seconds and on down to 0. Then the screen will flash O and L, that means oil level. If the next letters are O and K [OK], then you are good to go. If after O L and a ~1 shows , the you need to add a quart. This process takes about 3 minutes.

I did the push button test and it says the transmission temperature is too low-so does my gauge. How does it get to low? And what to do about it. Being Sunday, pretty much everyone is closed.

Take coach out and drive 25 miles. Never get it warm enough to check. Learned this on my 99 Intrigue.

You may have a faulty sensor causing the system to not continue with the process. Should have the transmission's computer checked for codes

Fill it up, then park it some place you can witness it leaking. Double check the radiator area and inspect radiator coolant for cross contamination.

Drive it for 50 miles then do the test.
