Wireless HD TV

I have finally upgraded the 20 inch CRT TV in my bedroom to a 32 in. LED. Right now I'm using the existing coax cable from my satellite receiver up front. It appears to me to be next to impossible to run an HDMI cable all the way back there. I see there are Wireless full HD 1080 transmitter receivers available. If they work this would solve the problem rather easily. Has anybody tried this? Which brand and model did you use?

We have a similar situation. Our coach has a small led in the bedroom with the coax feeding it. We have it hooked the same way from sat dish box. I added a tv in the basement and bought an hdmi transmitter. It works fine just need to restart the sending box when you turn on the tv so it will connect. Works great. Also have a wireless transmitter on the remote so anywhere in the coach or outside within reason we can change the sat channels.

Now the hard part. I don't know the technical details or terminology but here it goes. There is a converter you can buy that converts the hdmi output into another signal that transmits through your coax. Then there is a converter that converts the hdmi signal from your coax back to hdmi and to your tv. So if you google that tv thingy for my rv you may get lucky.

I am not sure if I read that here on on irv2 but I read it somewhere. Either way you will need electricity for either system. I think our hdmi transmitter is an Actiontec.

There is a technology section on IRV2. We have a Direct TV and they use SWM technology. Been using this for 5 years.....

My 2003 Magna has two coax cables from the front A/V cabinet to the rear A/V cabinet. When I used my DirecTV dish I used one coax for the antenna/cable signal and the other for satellite signal. I installed a satellite receiver in the cabinet connect to the second coax.

Now that I have cut the cable I use only the antenna/cable coax only. In addition to which I have a Roku streaming box and a bluray player.

In any event there was never a need to run an HDMI to the back as long as you have a second satellite receiver.

Thank you all. I will look into things further. Yeah I saw those HDMI coax devices which is another possibility. George, I have a dual tuner DVR from Dish that I like and of course it uses both feeds from my Travelr. I'm trying to avoid getting another receiver
