intelitek rope lighting

Yahoo Message Number: 114278
Hi All,
Wanted to see if anyone knows if it's possible to make the mood rope lighting dimmable like the rest of the lights? I replaced all the ropes with dimmable white LED color rope but will not dim on that switch. i did test it on the wall sconce switch and was able to dim there.
Thanks!

Yes they are and I tested them on the wall sconces switch that dims and rope dims on that switch fine just the rope light switch doesn't.

Joe, there are $15 dimmer boxes used for the dimmable ceiling lights. You can see them if you remove the dimmable switches. You could buy another one of those dimmer boxes and a dimmable switch ( like the ceiling switches) and replace mood light switch with that. There is room in the wall next to fridge. That way the mood light switch looks factory, but would dim your rope lights.

Then you need a solid state dimmer. If it is a mux system, you need a dimmable control unit.

Mikee is probably right. While I think my idea of converting the mood light switch to a dimmable circuit (like ceiling lights) would work with standard wiring, I have no clue how intellitec works, so perhaps that would be a problem.
