I'm getting ready to buy two new tires for the steer wheels for an '06 Magna, size 315X80R22.5. I plan to use the FMCA program.

Looking at the Michelin website, the only two tires offered in this size are X LINE ENERGY Z COACH and X MULTIWAY 3D XZE. I have not heard of either of this and assume they are new. These are the choices offered under the heading of "RV Tires".

On the FMCA site, when I compare sizes/prices, I am offered the more familiar (to me) XZE2, XZA1, XZA2. Big price difference, i.e. $385 for XZE2 vs. $700 for the other two.

Has anyone used the FMCA program recently? If so, how did you navigate the FMCA website vs the Michelin website?

Dave, the Michelin X line Energy Z Coach replaced the old XZA2. It is a great tire, rides very smooth. Seems to me Michelin's were always about $700 or so. I found the price at Pete's ( used by Colton TT) the same as FMCA. If you want to buy thru FMCA, below are the instructions:

Depends on where you are, but Purcell tire in Tucson beat FMCA by $30 per tire.

Hi Dave,
The X Line Energy Z Coach is the improved XZA2 energy tire. It is the most fuel efficient 315 that Michelin offers- WAY better than the X Multiway 3d XZE tire. PM me with any questions, if needed. :)

Recently I purchased a complete set of Michelin tires for my '06 Magna through the FMCA program. I chose the "Z Coach". It is new, made especially for coaches, and I find they give a very nice ride with great handling characteristics.

Here's the order to follow for purchase:

•Identify the dealer your choose who is part of the FMCA program

•Call FMCA and register your credit card with them. It will be registered with them for 30 days, then that registration will expire

•Contact the dealer and order the tires you choose (from the selection on the FMCA/Michelin website)

•Coordinate with the dealer for the installation of the tires. The dealer will install them, them charge FMCA (your credit card on file) the agreed on price (for the tires you chose)

•Remember to read the fine print as to what is covered. Your credit card on file pays for the TIRES ONLY.. You are responsible for mounting, balancing, etc.

The process is easy, and if done though a competent dealer, a breeze. Make certain your dealer has the newest installation and computer balancing equipment to handle large size tires (will probably be a truck tire dealer)
