Help Identify these connectors

What are these connections please? They appear to be air connections... maybe drains for water?

If so, what is the procedure for using them? Are there more somewhere else in the coach?

Yes, I believe they are your air tanks drain valves. I was told that they should drain any water in
The tanks that might cause rest inside the tanks.

Manual air dump valves, should be 4, and 2 in the engine bay and 2 in one of the left side bays.

Use valves to check for water in the air lines: just open a crack, look for moisture, if you see water or mist you need to replace the Bendix Air Drier Cartridge. Check your manual for normal replacement period.

hmmm... seems like we have a tie from people that say these are the ones to release water and those that say they are not the ones that release water (and the ones to release water are somewhere else)

My only reason for thinking they are not the ones to release water is that they are not at the bottom of anything... meaning the water would have to go up to get to these valves (which I guess could happen under pressure, but I don't think that's how the system works?)

Having just bought this motorhome - and it being my first "big" rig - there sure is a lot to learn.

I'll look closer at my drawings to see if I can figure it out.

Let me see if I can add some thoughts. Those valves are the ones that drain the primary and secondary air tanks of both air and any moisture that may be in them. Go ahead and open one up and you will get a rush of pressurized air for a minute or two until the tank is empty. Then when you start your engine the compressor will fill it back up again.

On my coach, 07 Intrigue, 2 of the 5 are down very low below the front axle, another faily low at the very rear center and 2 in the HydoHot bay. Also if you're checking regularly it's water vapor you're looking for, so height is irrelevant. You also could hold a cool piece of metal in the path of the vented air to collect moist air, if any.

Thanks all. The fact that I'm not going to actually get water droplets coming out - but water vapor - makes perfect sense... thanks for clarifying.

I tried opening them for a few seconds and the only thing that came out was warm, dry air... so I closed them back up.

Guess I'll need to track down others... maybe inside my front generator slide access? I don't see anything like these in any of my compartment.
