Re: C9 cat running hot
The fan on our C12 ran on high for a couple of months and a couple of thousand miles before we figured out that it was the Sauer-Danfoss coolant sensor. We replaced the air and coolant sensors and the fan resumed cycling normally. Don't know why your transmission would change behavior.
Coolant Temp Sensor Sauer-Danfoss 1090173
Air Temp Sensor Sauer-Danfoss 1090174
Kevin Waite 541-953-6162 near Harrisburg/Junction City, OR, had them for $45 each.
While it's not optimum for the engine to run at a lower than normal temperature, the most annoying effect of the fan running at high speed all the time is the extreme air turbulence at the rear of the coach. It kicks up a real dust storm any place that is not paved and swept clean.
