High Temp Sensor - Norcold 1200

Some probably know this, but I will share anyway as a refresher.

My Norcold stopped working a couple weeks ago. Turns out my high temp sensor (black recall box) was bad as diagnosed by an authorized RV repair man.

The good news I wanted to share, is they are covered by a lifetime warranty that includes labor. The warranty is transferable to the new owner. You can't buy these direct from Norcold and only authorized repairmen can install. Back in business.

Todd,

This is interesting. Our Norcold stopped working as well, and the trouble code on the door indicated high temperature sensor trip. The sensor had done it's job - we had parked for lunch on a steep slope and never thought about how that would effect the fridge.
We stopped by an RV shop and the tech there showed me how to re-set the sensor with a magnet applied to the outside of the control box. Took about 10 seconds to fix it and the fridge has been fine since then. If you haven't thrown away the old unit you might see if it can be re-set, and you'd have a spare.

Don,

Not sure what caused mine to fail, but Norcold had the RV tech troubleshoot while on the phone. My entire fridge was dead. The eyebrow wasn't working either. The magnet trick didn't work. They were quick to send a brand new one. The first thing he asked me is did I have it running while not level...which I hadn't. I think in my case, the recall box actually failed.
