2003 Magna front suspension renewal

Yahoo Message Number: 115218
Yesterday I picked up my coach from Coachcraft by MacDonald in Columbus Georgia. They did a number of things for me the most critical was a front suspension renewal. The passenger side hub was showing some slight metal shavings so the bearings had to be replaced. Decided to replace the original adjustable shocks and the air bags on one side showed some abrasive wear so they needed to be replaced as well. Following are part numbers.

Koni-99B3234 are the EVO99 for the Dan/Kirkstall IFS each @ $236.10
AS-8782 Air spring 1R13-109 Double air stud air bags

The ride was always good but these EVO99 shocks are softer than the adjustable Konis. I like the soft ride they provide.

For those of us in the southeast I strongly recommend Coachcraft by MacDonald for service. I have had all my work done there for the past few years. They are near the Bluebird plant in Fort Valley, GA and have been to Bluebird owners what our Oregon service providers have been to we CC owners. They are used to working with high line coaches and those who own them. They have always treated me well.

1993 Magna air bag replacement

Good morning!

We are doing some rehab work on our 1993 Magna with a Gillig chassis. Trying to find a cross reference for the air bags. Gillig has a proprietary number for the bags which seem to be challenging to cross reference.

Front: 53-14006-002 for $187 ea
Rear: 53-15085-028 for $312 ea

Do the costs seem reasonable? Any input on cross references?

Thanks!
